About

I treat the piano like an operating system for my brain. In 3 years with Oclef, I didn't just learn music; I installed a habit engine that processed 1,000+ micro-lessons and powered a Carnegie Hall debut. Stage 4 is my proof of concept: if you show up every single day, the compounding interest is unstoppable.

My Story

The "Oclef OS" Applied to Everything

Three years of daily practice taught me that "talent" is just high-frequency iteration. I took the feedback loops I learned at the keyboard and applied them to code. That's how I scaled a React Native app to 200 users and built a curriculum for underserved youth. The discipline isn't separate from the work—it is the work. Whether I'm debugging code or polishing Chopin, the process is identical: Iterate. Correct. Ship.

What This Discipline Proves

Years of deliberate practice translate into universally valued competencies. Here's what this discipline demonstrates to colleges, employers, and programs.

Consistency under fatigue: 1,000+ day streak. No "cheat days." High output regardless of motivation.
Coachability: Rapid integration of critique from 3 distinct mentors. I treat feedback as data, not an insult.
Long-range execution: Converted a 3-year vision (Stage 1 to 4) into daily execution.
Performance under pressure: Delivered high-fidelity results live at Carnegie Hall and TEDx.
Error correction speed: Sub-second adaptation during live performance and code deployment.

FAQs

What's your favorite piece to perform?

Chopin's Ballade No. 1. It's a 10-minute masterclass in narrative structure. It taught me how to tell a story without words.

How do you balance piano with school?

I don't "balance" it; I systemize it. Oclef taught me that 15 minutes of deep focus beats 2 hours of distracted work. I run my practice routine before the world wakes up.

Advice for beginners?

Fall in love with one problem (or one piece). Let that obsession pull you through the boredom of the basics. Passion is the fuel; technique is just the engine.
